Wedding Planning 101
Last week I received a few e-mails from TBC readers wanting to know if they should go with the "Month of Coordination" versus the "Full Wedding Coordination and Design" planner. So I posed the question to Kelly Gin, of Picture Perfect Events.
Many couples work (collectively) 80+ hours a week and have very little time to plan their wedding. It can become overwhelming researching service providers, scheduling appointments, and finalizing the details. By working side by side with a wedding coordinator, it will alleviate the intensity of the planning. A wedding coordinator will have an array of resources to fit the couple's budget and style. She/he will carefully guide you through the planning to ensure every detail is met.
Month of Coordination - Many couples have the time and resources to plan and design their wedding from beginning to end. It is essential to hire a wedding coordinator to tie up loose ends as the wedding day approaches. Most coordinators will begin working with the couple approximately two months prior to the big day. This will ensure all service providers are contacted, the wedding day itinerary is distributed and final details are outlined with the ceremony/reception location.
Full Wedding Coordination and Design - This service is designed for couples who want a coordinator to assist with every aspect of the wedding from designing the overall look and feel of the event to assembling the perfect team of service providers. The couple will look to the coordinator for guidance and support throughout the planning.
With whatever service a couple decides to work with, at Picture Perfect Events, they will always receive the same level of service. A coordinator will get to know their clients in an intimate way to ensure the wedding day will run smoothly.
Thank you Kelley for such helpful information and I hope this will help you guys when deciding on the level of service from your planner for your big day. Below are images of one of Kelly's beautiful weddings. Enjoy!!!
The wedding has a "tea theme" and each table was named after a different type of tea. How charming is that!!!!!!!!!!!
Each table had an individual cake, too cute!!!!! I love this!
The favors for the guest were little jars of tea. It just gets more charming!!!!
Great job Kelley! Such a beautiful and fun wedding. The photos are by Chenin of Boutwell Studio. Please visit her site to see more beautiful images from the wedding.
