The Wedding Book by Mindy Weiss

I received a lovely email from Jackie at Workman Publishing introducing TBC to Mindy Weiss' s fabulous  new book...appropriately called....THE WEDDING BOOK!  Mindy is one of the most sought after Event Planners in the United States.  Each of Mindy's events are truly unique and always fabulous...no matter how big or small.  Her client list includes some of the top celebrities in the entertainment field and she also does pro bono party planning for charitable organizations.  And now to add to her impressive resume....Mindy has written a wonderful book that you will want to add to your collection. 

Guys, it is a must have!!  The chapters range from "Spreading the News", Creating the Budget", "The Guest List", "The Dress" and "Here Comes the Bride".  It is full of the most inspirational sketches from dress silhouettes, necklines, and trains...to let you know what is perfect for your proportion...to helping you chose the right cake, band, flowers and lighting for your special day.  And for the men...no worries...Mindy has you covered as well!  The book even has a budget planner, contact log and a weekly time-line....a totally complete checklist.

Every morning when I get up for work, I check The Bride's Cafe, and then again when I get home to see if there are any updates. TBC constantly inspires with it's magazine-worthy photos, but its sound advice also helps keep me rational. There are infinite ways to have a beautiful celebration of our marriage, and so many of those are not only breathtaking, but also budget- AND eco-friendly. Your blog is a constant source of inspiration. It's brought to my attention details that I had not even considered incorporating into my wedding like cutesy little "this way to the wedding" signs, bouquets and arrangements that are more than your typical roses in a vase, decorations that consist of more than just votive candle holders. I'm so addicted to the bride's cafe. I'm here every day, sometimes multiple times. I live in los angeles and will be getting married in North Carolina. I'll take all the help I can get! Both my fiance and I are very indecisive but some of the things that I've seen on this website has made it easier for us to narrow things down. Color has probably been the most difficult for us. TBC has helped me put together many inspiration boards for myself and for friends due to all of the drop dead gorgeous pictures posted within the site. Seeing a TBC post appear on my Google Reader is like having a little present appear in front of you....just waiting for to be unwrapped! There is always something good inside! TBC has allowed me to develop my vision for our wedding further and I have no doubt that Mindy's book would only further my vision and provide more ideas and inspiration!
