Pretty Pen Jen

I have always wanted to learn how to do calligraphy.  I love the beauty and elegance of the different fonts and it truly adds a "special look and feel" to all wedding papers.  So I asked the beautiful and talented Jennifer Cota of Pretty Pen Jen to share with us some of her amazing "Fine Lettering"!  Below, Jennifer shares a little 411 on how she got started.....Enjoy!

"I've been doing calligraphy since I was in sixth grade. Pretty Pen Jen started in 2003 when I began planning my own wedding.  My first commissioned piece was a poem my grandfather wrote to my grandmother for her birthday. I'm self taught, so I enjoy coming up with my own fonts instead of following rules (smile), all my fonts are named after women in my family (grandmother, aunts, sister, nieces, and cousins). I'm in Austin, but have clients near and far."
